Faulty Mobile Phone

Hi,
I need some advise. Will try and keep it to the point.
- purchased a mobile phone outright from a high st retailer in Oct 2019.
- it developed a fault in Nov 2020
- Returned for a repair (away nearly 4 weeks)
- same fault re occurred Feb 2021
What are my rights as retailer only offering a repair or part refund.
says they can’t replace/exchange without the manufacturers writing it off.
